What are FEM's lamps made of?
Each lamp is 3D printed using a high-quality bio-based material from renewable resources. It's lightweight, durable, and carefully chosen to reduce environmental impact, all while keeping each piece vibrant and full of character. Every lamp is then finished by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Each one is subtly unique, just like the colours you choose. We solely use Polymakers' Panchroma Range.
What does my order include?
Your order includes:
- The lamp itself
- 2m cable with inline switch and 2-prong plug
- Warm white LED bulb (2700K–3000K) with an E27 socket
What bulbs does the lamps use?
We recommend a warm white LED bulb (2700K–3000K) with an E27 socket to make the colours pop. Avoid incandescent or halogen bulbs, as they generate too much heat.
Where are your products manufactured?
All our products are manufactured in-house in Menlopark, Pretoria using our own 3D printers. This allows us to maintain complete control over quality and ensure every piece meets our standards.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Our production timeline is 5–7 working days from order to dispatch. Each lamp is handcrafted to order and undergoes quality checks and finishing before it leaves our studio. This bespoke approach minimises waste while guaranteeing every piece meets our standards.
What if my lamp arrives damaged?
Contact us as soon as possible with photos of the issue. We'll do everything we can to make it right:
- Repair the lamp
- Replace it
- Or refund your order if neither is possible
If the item is defective or damaged, we'll cover the return shipping costs. Our goal is simple: to make it right and keep your space full of colour.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Do you do custom designs?
We create custom colour combinations based on the colours currently available in our collection. For specific colour requests and custom design options, please visit our Custom Design section in the catalogue.
We also offer commission work in bulk — contact us directly to discuss your project. Custom lamp designs will be available in the near future.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Delivery typically takes 2–5 working days depending on your location. Delivery options include: Courier Locker or Door to Door. You'll receive an email with tracking details once your order ships.
How do I clean my lamp?
Simply wipe it gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using chemical cleaners, alcohol, solvents, or abrasive materials, as they may damage the surface or affect the colour. Keep it away from direct sunlight for extended periods to preserve its vibrancy.
Can I use my lamp outdoors?
FEM's lamps are designed for indoor use only. The bio-based material is not weather-resistant and should be kept away from rain, humidity, and extreme temperatures.
Will there be new colors?
Yes! We're always working on new colours and limited edition drops. Follow us on Instagram to be the first to know when new colours land. If there's a colour you'd love to see, we'd genuinely love to hear about it; drop us a message!
